Free GoHighLevel starter kit · Pest Control

HighLevel for pest control companies

A free, copy-and-paste HighLevel (GoHighLevel) starter kit for pest control companies: the pipeline, the inspection request form, six automations and every text and email, written out. Answer every “I just saw a mouse” call, keep every visit on the calendar and turn one-off treatments into service plans.

What it fixes

Four ways pest control companies lose jobs, closed.

Panicked calls go to whoever answers

Nobody waits for a callback with wasps by the door. A text inside a minute keeps the job yours.

One-off treatments never become plans

The steady money is in regular service. A follow-up after the first treatment offers the plan while the problem is fresh.

Service visits slip

Confirmations and reminders mean fewer locked gates and missed visits.

Reviews decide who gets called

Homeowners pick the company with recent local reviews. Ask after every treatment, automatically.

The free kit

Everything you need, written out.

Copy what you need from this page, or download the whole kit as a text file. It is free, with no email and no sign-up. You build it inside HighLevel by following the steps; it takes about two hours in one sitting, including a test with your own phone.

Merge fields like {{contact.first_name}} and {{location.name}} fill in automatically inside HighLevel. Replace anything in [square brackets] with your own details.

1. The pipeline

Create one pipeline with these stages, in this order. Every job moves left to right.

  1. New lead: Every missed call and form lands here.
  2. Contacted: You have spoken to them.
  3. Inspection booked: On the calendar.
  4. Quote sent: The follow-up automation starts here.
  5. Job scheduled: They said yes. Mark the opportunity Won.
  6. Job complete: Starts the review request and the service-plan offer.

2. The quote request form

Build this form in HighLevel and put it on your website. Fewer fields means more requests, so every field here earns its place.

  • Full name
  • Mobile phone
  • Email
  • Service address
  • What are you seeing? (ants, mice or rats, cockroaches, wasps or bees, termites, bed bugs, mosquitoes, other)
  • Where? (inside, outside, both)
  • How long has it been going on? (just noticed, a few weeks, months)
  • Interested in a regular service plan? (yes, maybe, no)
  • Best time to reach you
  • Consent checkbox: “I agree to receive texts from [your business] about my request. Reply STOP to opt out.”

3. Six automations

Each one is a HighLevel workflow. The trigger and step names below are the ones HighLevel shows in its workflow builder, so you can find each one by name.

01

Missed-call text back

Most callers who reach voicemail ring the next pest control company on the list. A text inside a minute keeps the job yours until you can call back.

Trigger

Call Details (HighLevel’s call trigger). Add two filters: Call direction is Incoming, and Call status is no-answer or voicemail.

Steps

  1. Send SMS: the text below.
  2. Create/update opportunity: your pipeline, stage New lead.
  3. Send internal notification: to you or whoever is on call.

Message

SMSText to the caller
Sorry we missed your call! This is {{location.name}}. What pest are you dealing with? Text back and we’ll call you as soon as we can. Reply STOP to opt out.

Older HighLevel guides call this trigger Call Status.

02

New quote request: answer in seconds

The first business to reply usually gets the job. This answers every form at once, day or night, and tells you who to call.

Trigger

Form Submitted. Filter: your quote request form.

Steps

  1. Create/update opportunity: your pipeline, stage New lead.
  2. Send SMS: the text below.
  3. Send email: the email below.
  4. Send internal notification: the alert below.
  5. Add task: “Call back within 5 minutes”, assigned to whoever takes new leads.

Quote sent follow-up

Most quotes are not a “no”, they are a “not yet”. Three polite nudges over ten days win back jobs that would otherwise go quiet, and they stop the moment the customer says yes.

Trigger

Pipeline Stage Changed. Filter: stage is Quote sent.

Steps

  1. Wait: 2 days.
  2. If / else: the opportunity is still in Quote sent. If not, end here.
  3. Send SMS: first text below.
  4. Wait: 3 days.
  5. If / else: still in Quote sent.
  6. Send email: the email below.

Inspection confirmations and reminders

A wasted trip costs you a morning. A confirmation and two reminders cut no-shows, and give the customer an easy way to reschedule.

Customer Booked Appointment. Filter: your inspection calendar.

Steps

  1. Send SMS: confirmation below.
  2. Wait: choose “Until a scheduled date/time” and set it to 1 day before the appointment.

  4. Wait: “Until a scheduled date/time” again, set to 2 hours before the appointment.
  5. Send SMS: same-day text below.

Review request after every job

People choose the business with the most recent reviews. Asking every happy customer, every time, is the cheapest marketing a trade business has.

Trigger

Pipeline Stage Changed. Filter: stage is Job complete.

Steps

  1. Wait: 2 hours.
  2. Send review request: HighLevel’s built-in review request (set your Google review link under Reputation first).
  3. Optional second workflow: trigger New Review Received, step Send internal notification, so you can reply to every review the same day.

Message

SMSIf you would rather send your own text instead of the built-in request
Thanks for choosing {{location.name}}, {{contact.first_name}}! If we solved your pest problem, a quick Google review would mean a lot to our team: [your review link]

Service-plan offer

Most pests come back with the seasons. Offering a regular plan a few weeks after the first treatment, while the problem is still fresh, turns one-off jobs into steady income.

Trigger

Pipeline Stage Changed. Filter: stage is Job complete.

Steps

  1. Add contact tag: past-customer.
  2. Wait: 3 weeks.
  3. Send SMS: the text below.
  4. Wait: 7 days.
  5. Send email: the email below.

Subject: Keep pests away all year

Hi {{contact.first_name}},

Most pests return with the seasons. A regular service plan treats your home before they come back, so you’re not calling us in a hurry next year.

Reply to this email or give us a call and we’ll explain the options.

4. Set it up in this order

  1. Start your 14-day HighLevel trial and set up the account for your business.
  2. Settings → Phone Numbers: get a local number and forward your business line to it (or publish the new number). If you text US customers, start A2P 10DLC registration the same day.
  3. Settings: connect your email sending and add your business name, address and logo.
  4. Opportunities → Pipelines: create the pipeline with the stages above, in that order.
  5. Sites → Forms: build the quote request form with the fields above, then put it on your website.
  6. Calendars: create a calendar called “Inspection” with your real working hours.
  7. Reputation: add your Google review link so the review request has somewhere to send people.
  8. Automation → Workflows → Create workflow: build the six workflows above, one at a time, and paste in the messages.
  9. Test it: call your own number and let it ring out, fill in your own form, book yourself an appointment, and move a test opportunity through the stages. Check every text and email reaches your phone and inbox.
  10. Turn each workflow on (Publish) only after its test passes.
  11. Service plans: book every plan visit on the calendar so the reminder workflow covers it, and tag plan customers (for example “service-plan”) so you can see them at a glance.

Before you switch on texts: Texting customers needs their consent. In the US, HighLevel requires your number to be registered for business texting (A2P 10DLC) before texts go out; registration has its own fee and approval time, so start it on day one.

Want it offline? Download the whole pest control kit as a text file. It has everything on this page, in setup order.

What HighLevel costs

Try it free for 14 days first.

HighLevel offers a 14-day free trial on every plan. After the trial, the Starter plan is $97 a month. Texts, calls and emails are billed by usage on top, and billing starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel. (HighLevel’s pricing page, checked 17 October 2026.)

Current prices are always on HighLevel’s pricing page.

Questions

Good questions, straight answers.

Is the kit really free?

Yes. Everything is on this page and in the download: no email, no sign-up, no catch. HighLevel itself is a paid product with a 14-day free trial; if you start that trial through my link I may earn a commission, and the kit is the same either way.

Can I import it in one click?

Not yet. You build it by following the steps, which takes about two hours in one sitting, including a test with your own phone. The upside is that you will know exactly what every automation does before you switch it on.

Will the texts work for US customers?

Do I need HighLevel to use this pest control kit?

The setup steps are written for HighLevel, step by step. The pipeline, the form and every message work in most CRMs, so you can still use the copy elsewhere.

Does it work for service plans?

Yes. Book every plan visit on your calendar and the reminder workflow confirms and reminds each one. Tag plan customers so you can see them at a glance and text them as a group.
