What it fixes
Four ways electricians lose jobs, closed.
Customers call the first one who answers
A text inside a minute makes you the electrician who got back to them.
Panel and EV charger quotes stall
Bigger jobs need a nudge or two. The follow-up runs by itself and stops when they book.
Site visits get missed
Confirmations and reminders cut wasted trips and make rescheduling easy.
Trust is everything
People let a safe, well-reviewed electrician into their home. Ask after every job, automatically.
The free kit
Everything you need, written out.
Copy what you need from this page, or download the whole kit as a text file. It is free, with no email and no sign-up. You build it inside HighLevel by following the steps; it takes about two hours in one sitting, including a test with your own phone.
Merge fields like {{contact.first_name}} and {{location.name}} fill in automatically inside HighLevel. Replace anything in [square brackets] with your own details.
1. The pipeline
Create one pipeline with these stages, in this order. Every job moves left to right.
- New lead: Every missed call and form lands here.
- Contacted: You have spoken to them.
- Site visit booked: On the calendar.
- Quote sent: The follow-up starts here.
- Job scheduled: They said yes. Mark the opportunity Won.
- Job complete: Starts the review request and the yearly check-in.
2. The quote request form
Build this form in HighLevel and put it on your website. Fewer fields means more requests, so every field here earns its place.
- Full name
- Mobile phone
- Property address
- What do you need? (outlets or switches, panel upgrade, EV charger, lighting, rewiring, inspection, other)
- Property type (house, condo or apartment, commercial)
- Timeline (as soon as possible, this month, just planning)
- Photo of your electrical panel or the area (optional file upload)
- Best time to reach you
- Consent checkbox: “I agree to receive texts from [your business] about my request. Reply STOP to opt out.”
3. Six automations
Each one is a HighLevel workflow. The trigger and step names below are the ones HighLevel shows in its workflow builder, so you can find each one by name.
Missed-call text back
Most callers who reach voicemail ring the next electrician on the list. A text inside a minute keeps the job yours until you can call back.
Trigger
Call Details (HighLevel’s call trigger). Add two filters: Call direction is Incoming, and Call status is no-answer or voicemail.
Steps
- Send SMS: the text below.
- Create/update opportunity: your pipeline, stage New lead.
- Send internal notification: to you or whoever is on call.
Message
Sorry we missed your call! This is {{location.name}}. What can we help with: a repair, a panel upgrade, an EV charger or something else? Text back and we’ll call you shortly. Reply STOP to opt out. Older HighLevel guides call this trigger Call Status.
New quote request: answer in seconds
The first business to reply usually gets the job. This answers every form at once, day or night, and tells you who to call.
Trigger
Form Submitted. Filter: your quote request form.
Steps
- Create/update opportunity: your pipeline, stage New lead.
- Send SMS: the text below.
- Send email: the email below.

Hi {{contact.first_name}},
Thanks for reaching out to {{location.name}}. Your request is in, and we’ll call you shortly.

Talk soon,
{{location.name}} New electrical lead: {{contact.name}}, {{contact.phone}}. Call within 5 minutes. Quote sent follow-up
Most quotes are not a “no”, they are a “not yet”. Three polite nudges over ten days win back jobs that would otherwise go quiet, and they stop the moment the customer says yes.

Review request after every job
People choose the business with the most recent reviews. Asking every happy customer, every time, is the cheapest marketing a trade business has.

Steps
- Wait: 2 hours.
- Send review request: HighLevel’s built-in review request (set your Google review link under Reputation first).
- Optional second workflow: trigger New Review Received, step Send internal notification, so you can reply to every review the same day.

Hi {{contact.first_name}}, it’s {{location.name}}. It’s been a year since we worked at your place. Want a quick electrical safety check, or a quote for surge protection or an EV charger? Reply YES and we’ll call you. Subject: A yearly electrical check-in
Hi {{contact.first_name}},
It’s been a year since we were out. If anything has been flickering, tripping or getting warm, or you’re thinking about an EV charger or surge protection, reply here and we’ll set up a visit.
{{location.name}} 4. Set it up in this order
- Start your 14-day HighLevel trial and set up the account for your business.
- Settings → Phone Numbers: get a local number and forward your business line to it (or publish the new number). If you text US customers, start A2P 10DLC registration the same day.
- Settings: connect your email sending and add your business name, address and logo.
- Opportunities → Pipelines: create the pipeline with the stages above, in that order.
- Sites → Forms: build the quote request form with the fields above, then put it on your website.
- Calendars: create a calendar called “Site visit” with your real working hours.
- Reputation: add your Google review link so the review request has somewhere to send people.
- Automation → Workflows → Create workflow: build the six workflows above, one at a time, and paste in the messages.
- Test it: call your own number and let it ring out, fill in your own form, book yourself an appointment, and move a test opportunity through the stages. Check every text and email reaches your phone and inbox.
- Turn each workflow on (Publish) only after its test passes.
- Permits: add a “Permit pending” stage after Job scheduled so you can see at a glance which jobs are waiting on the inspector.
Before you switch on texts: Texting customers needs their consent. In the US, HighLevel requires your number to be registered for business texting (A2P 10DLC) before texts go out; registration has its own fee and approval time, so start it on day one.

Questions
Good questions, straight answers.
Is the kit really free?
Yes. Everything is on this page and in the download: no email, no sign-up, no catch. HighLevel itself is a paid product with a 14-day free trial; if you start that trial through my link I may earn a commission, and the kit is the same either way.
Can I import it in one click?
Not yet. You build it by following the steps, which takes about two hours in one sitting, including a test with your own phone. The upside is that you will know exactly what every automation does before you switch it on.

Do I need HighLevel to use this electrical kit?
The setup steps are written for HighLevel, step by step. The pipeline, the form and every message work in most CRMs, so you can still use the copy elsewhere.
Does it help with permits?
It does not file permits, but you can add a “Permit pending” stage after Job scheduled so every job waiting on a permit or an inspection is in one column.
Other trades
The same kit, written for other trades.
There are 12 free kits in all. See every trade.
