The gap it closes
Calculator Builder sits at 2.6★ across 97 reviews, and unlike almost every app we have replaced it has no free plan at all. Its single $5.52/mo plan charges for the things this category takes for granted: “Set up in Minutes”, “Customize Your Calculator”, “Look Great on Mobile”, “Ready to use templates” and “Add Unlimited Formulas”.
The complaints are not about features. Twelve reviews say the calculator disappeared from the published site: “I paid, but the application no longer appears on my site”, “After purchasing the yearly plan and spending many hours customizing my calculator, it has completely disappeared”, “it does in the editor, it does in the preview, but not the actual site”, “the app crashed a few weeks back, all calculators disappeared — the set up alone took a full day.”
Then the two that follow from it. Copying one loses it: “you can easily lose all the formulas simply by copying and pasting it somewhere else”, “if you want to move it from one page to another you have to rebuild it entirely — it is not saved anywhere on backend.” And editing one reverts it: “I couldn’t edit and delete fields — it would always revert back”, “there is no save function when you customize the calculator and it reverts back to the template”, “they from time to time reset to standard settings.”

Ask what you need to know
Nine kinds of question — a number, a slider, a quantity with − and +, a drop-down, one answer of several, any answers of several, yes or no, words they type, or a line of your own. Each one carries its own price: a rate for each unit, a fixed amount, or a percentage of the running total.

Watch the price show its working
A line for the call-out, a line for every answer, a line for every discount, and a total that is exactly their sum — never a bare number. Any currency symbol, on either side, with your own separators and decimal places.

Hand the quote on
The button copies the itemised quote for them to paste to you, opens their own email already written, or opens a page of yours. Nothing is stored and nothing is sent by us, which is exactly why it cannot stop working. It runs in Wix Studio, the classic Wix Editor and Wix Harmony.

It is a row in your own site, not ours
Every calculator — its questions, its prices, its wording and its design — is one row in a collection inside your site. Duplicating it is copying that row. Moving it to another page is choosing it from a list. There is nothing of ours to lose.

A free plan that is a working calculator
One calculator, ten questions, every kind of question, every design control, any currency, the itemised breakdown, the button that hands the quote on, duplicate, and a backup file that restores in one click. The app this replaces has no free plan at all.

The price always adds up
Every line is a whole number of pence or cents, rounded once when it is worked out, and the total is their sum. There is no floating-point drift and no line that does not belong to something the visitor chose.

It never receives a quote
No enquiry inbox of ours, no mail server of ours, no copy of anybody’s answers on our side. The quote goes to their own email app, their clipboard, or a page you already have. The incumbent built its own mail engine and it is broken in reviews four years apart.

It never takes a payment
Two of its reviews ask for a pay button. We will not build a payments engine; the button points wherever you already sell, and it will still be working in five years.

Nothing is stored about a visitor
No cookie, no local storage, no row, no identifier. Every sum happens in their browser after one request, so their answers never leave their machine — even the shareable quote link keeps them in the part of a web address a browser never sends.

A paid feature is never destructive
A tier table or a conditional question written on Pro stays in the row if a site drops to Free. The engine simply stops applying it, and your dashboard says which one and what it is doing instead.

No badge on any plan, and never auto-added
No watermark, no “powered by”, on the free plan or any other. It appears only where you drag it, as many times as you like.

Installing & getting started
- Add Quote & Price Calculator to your Wix site from the App Market and approve the permissions listed below.
- Open it from your site dashboard under Apps. It adds the Quote calculator element (editor widget, any page, any number of times) / Dashboard page.
- Follow the three steps above. The free tier covers one calculator with ten questions, all nine question types, all four arrangements and every design control, the itemised breakdown, any currency symbol with your own separators, the button that hands the quote on, duplicate, a backup file that restores in one click, and a spreadsheet of your prices, so you can prove it works before paying.

What is stored, and where
- Your calculators — questions, prices, wording and design — are stored in a collection inside your own site.
- A visitor’s answers are never stored anywhere. The price is worked out in their browser, and the app has no route that writes anything on their behalf.
- The shareable quote link (Business) carries the answers in the fragment of the address, which a browser never sends to any server.
- Uninstalling removes the app’s collections. Nothing else is touched.

Questions people ask.
Will it disappear from my published site?
It cannot. Your calculator is a row in a collection inside your own site, and the element on the page is a custom element that Wix resolves when the page draws. There is no copy on our servers to lose. If a read ever does fail, the page says so in a sentence and asks for a refresh — it never draws an empty calculator or a wrong price.
What happens when somebody presses the button?
Whatever you chose: the itemised quote goes on their clipboard to paste to you, or their own email app opens with it already written and addressed to you, or a page of yours opens with the quote in the link. We never receive it, store it or send it — which is why it cannot stop working.
Can I charge per unit where the rate depends on what they picked?
Yes, and it is free. Mark a question as the rate for another one — eighty guests at the price per head of the menu they chose, forty square metres at the rate of the paint they chose, six days at the daily rate of the machine they chose. On Pro you can also give a quantity a tier table where the rate changes with the amount.
Does it work on Wix Studio?
Yes. It is a custom element, so it runs on Wix Studio, the classic Wix Editor and Wix Harmony — the same app, the same settings panel. It was built and verified on a published Wix Studio site.
