Membership Cards & Renewals
Your members already exist. This shows each of them their own membership the moment they sign in — their tier, what it includes, and how long is left. It never takes a payment and never charges a percentage of anything.
- No cap on members
- No badge, ever
- Cash and cheques welcome
- Needs no other app
The gap it closes
The most-voted review on the incumbent is a museum that cannot put its own members into it. “I wanted to move the management of my museum’s members to integrate with wix … It appears that people can only become members by going to the site and signing themselves up. We already have many active members and the fact that I cannot just add them myself is ridiculous. Also we prefer to take membership payments via cash and check to avoid fees but there appears to be no way to record that info” (23 votes, 1★). A charity says the same thing underneath it: “We are a non profit and already have members that we cannot add as members on this site … It is really hard to sort out our paying non profit membership from the website membership” (17 votes). Here the roster is yours: typed in, or brought in from the spreadsheet it is already in, with how each person paid written down in your own words.
And the one question a membership secretary asks every month was taken away from them. “Can No Longer Easily Communicate With Our Members — we have been using this to sell 1-, 2- and 3-year memberships … recent updates have now made it impossible for us to create a segment that allows us to easily identify our current members. This is causing a real problem for us. Why was this feature taken away?” (March 2026). Who is current, who is due and who has lapsed is the first thing on this app’s dashboard, worked out from the dates every time anybody looks.
What the incumbent charges is not in a plan — it is a percentage, and it arrived in April 2026. “garbage and useless if they collect fees … They provide zero value in return for taking a percentage of your sales. You are not a payment processor, I already have one” · “now there is a extra fee and I dont understand why … to ask a 2 % fee on each transition … way overpriced” · “Limited scope and now terrible value … there is suddenly an additional charge on top of the fees Wix already take” · “Now with an increase in fees, I’m wondering why bother with this at all”. This app takes no payment, so there is no percentage to raise.
Nobody on that shelf likes how it looks, and one of them sells the fix. “you can’t change the design and can’t control anything but pure basics” (11 votes) · “They are ugly.. they look so good when you look at the app, but they look hideous on my website. Very difficult to customize” (6) · “the designing options are only basic such as colours and fonts” (6). Every arrangement and every design control here is on the free plan, and the default follows your page, so a card is legible on a dark site without anybody choosing anything.
Every paid app on this shelf needs another app installed before it will run at all — one of them says so in its own listing: “Install it on a site with Members Area and Pricing Plans”. An app that depends on another app inherits that app’s outages, its fees and its permission screen. This one reads nothing but its own roster, and its install screen is one line.
How it works
Six steps, then it runs itself.
- 01
Put your roster in
Type people in, or bring the spreadsheet you already keep — name, email address, tier, when they joined, when it runs out, and how they paid. Cash, cheque, standing order, comped, life member: a word, in your own words. A new install opens on a sample roster of six you rename in a minute.
- 02
Say what each tier includes
Friend, Supporter, Life member — a colour, a line about it, and what it gets you, written for the person who already holds it. There is no price here and no buy button: this app never sells anything.
- 03
Drop the card on any page
Drag it in from Add Elements → App Widgets, as many times as you like. Nothing is added to your site on its own and no page is ever created for you. Each placement can draw a different arrangement — the full card, one compact line, a tier badge, or the detailed card with what the tier includes.
- 04
A member signs in and sees their own membership
Once, they say which row is theirs — their email address and the membership number you gave them — and from then on it is theirs for good. Their card shows their tier, their number, when they joined, when it runs out and how long is left, plus anything you wrote for them.
- 05
You see who is due, before they lapse
Active, due for renewal, lapsed and how many have found their card, on the first screen. Search the roster by name, email, number or your own private notes. Renew somebody with one press — from whichever is later, today or the date they run out, so renewing early never costs them the weeks they had left.
- 06
And the whole roster comes back out again
Export to a spreadsheet on every plan. A roster you cannot get back out is a roster you are locked into.
How it behaves
The decisions that matter.
-
It never takes a payment and never charges a percentage
No cart, no checkout, no payment, no commission, no payout. Your renew link is an ordinary link to wherever you already take money — your own page, a bank transfer, a standing order form, a cheque in the post, or nothing at all. The app this one sits beside began taking a percentage of every transaction at the end of April 2026, and that is what its newest reviewers are writing about.
-
No cap on members, tiers, cards or placements, on any plan
Not on the free plan, not on a lapsed one. Five of the twelve apps read on build day have no free plan at all; three more ration by a count. Every ladder on that shelf is priced on room, and this one is not on it.
-
A member is never locked out of their own membership
Not by the free plan, and not by a subscription of yours that lapsed. A museum’s members must not be turned away from their own cards because the museum’s card expired. The function that decides it has nowhere to put a plan, and a test reads its own signature to keep it that way.
-
No badge and no watermark on any plan, ever
Not on the page, not in the editor, not on a lapsed plan. Two of the apps read on build day print their own name on the customer’s website and sell its removal.
-
One member can never see another member’s card
Who is asking is read on the server, out of the token Wix itself signed — never from anything the page can say. Nothing in a browser can forge it, no route anywhere takes a member id out of a request, and there is no address that lists anybody.
-
It needs no other app installed
No members engine, no pricing-plans engine, no subscription engine. Every paid app on this shelf reads one of those; one of them says so in its own listing. A dependency never taken cannot be withdrawn, repriced or broken by somebody else’s release.
-
It never sends anything to anybody
No mail engine, no scheduler, nothing that runs on a site nobody is looking at. Two apps next door charge $20.97 and $5.58 a month to email a member before a renewal; here the notice is on the card they open and the list of who is due is on your own dashboard.
-
Nothing that is free today will ever move behind the paywall
Stated here and in the App Market listing. The free plan is the pitch, not a trial.
Pricing
Free tier that actually works.
Billed per site through the Wix App Market, monthly or yearly (yearly saves 20%). Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. The free plan is deliberately functional and never expires, so the app can prove itself on a real site before you pay for it.

Installing & getting started
- Add Membership Cards & Renewals to your Wix site from the App Market and approve the permissions listed below.
- Open it from your site dashboard under Apps. It adds the My membership element (editor widget, any page, any number of times) / Settings panel in the editor, per placement / Dashboard page.
- Follow the six steps above. The free tier covers no cap on members, tiers, cards or placements. All four arrangements — the card, one compact line, a tier badge, and the detailed card with what the tier includes — and every design control, including colours that follow a dark page. Membership numbers given out automatically, joined and renewal dates with a plain-English countdown, active / due / lapsed worked out from the dates, what each tier includes, your own join and renew links, and how each member paid. The spreadsheet in and out. Every visitor-facing word editable, both halves of every count. No watermark and no badge, ever, so you can prove it works before paying.
- Stuck? Email [email protected] — two business days response.
Permissions, and why each one
SCOPE.DEV_CENTER.APP-INSTANCE-READ-BASIC-INFO- Read which plan the site is on, so the Pro and Business features unlock. It is the only permission this app asks for, and the install screen is one line. Knowing which member is asking costs no permission at all: it is read out of the token Wix already signed.
What is stored, and where
- The roster is the one thing here that is personal data about other people, and the site owner is its controller. Every member is an ordinary row in a collection inside the owner’s own site, readable and writable only by that site’s own staff. Uninstalling removes the app’s collections; nothing of the owner’s lives anywhere else.
- There is deliberately nowhere in a member’s row for a home address, a telephone number, a date of birth or a next of kin. A membership card does not need them.
- There is nowhere for an amount, a card number or a bank detail either. Paid by is a word — cash, cheque, standing order — because a museum that takes cash needs to write that down, and this app is never told what anybody paid.
- A private note on a member’s row never leaves the dashboard. It is not sent to any page, it is not on the printed card, and the widget has never heard of it.
- Which member is asking is read on the server from the token Wix signed. No route anywhere takes a member id out of a request body or a query string, and the id is written onto a roster row in exactly one place in the whole app.
- A member links their account to their row once, with the email address and membership number the owner gave them. Six wrong answers in a day and the app stops answering that account — counted against the signed identity, so it cannot be shaken off by clearing a cookie. The owner can unlink anybody at any time.
- On Business, a card being opened writes one row with five fields — which roster, which of two words, when, and two fields left empty. It records that a card was opened, never who opened it, and the owner’s own dashboard visits are dropped rather than counted. Those rows are tidied away after four hundred days and the dashboard says so in words.
- This app never sends an email, never takes a payment, never creates an account and never connects to a third-party service. Nothing is loaded from any third party: no script, no tracker, no font and no icon set.
- A stored date is never converted into another zone. A membership that runs until the 31st of March runs until the 31st of March wherever the member happens to be reading.

Questions people ask.
Does it take payments or handle renewals?
No. It has no cart, no checkout, no payment, no commission and no payout. Your renew link is an ordinary link to wherever you already take money — your own page, a bank transfer, a standing order form, or a cheque in the post. The app this one sits beside began taking a percentage of every transaction at the end of April 2026, and that is the loudest thing on its review page this year.
Do I need Wix Pricing Plans or a Members Area for this?
No. It reads nothing but its own roster and needs no other app installed. Your site does need some way for a member to sign in, which is how it knows who is asking — but that is your site’s own login, whatever it is. Every paid app on this shelf reads a subscription engine; one of them says in its own listing that it must be installed on a site with two other apps first.
How many members can I have on the free plan?
As many as you have. There is no cap on members, tiers, cards or placements on any plan. Five of the twelve apps read on build day have no free plan whatsoever, and three more ration by a count — one plan, three plans, fifteen subscriptions.
Can I add members myself, and record cash or a cheque?
Yes, and that is the whole point. Type them in or bring your spreadsheet, and write down how each one paid in your own words — cash, cheque, standing order, comped, life member. The most-voted review on the app this replaces is a museum saying it cannot do either: “we already have many active members and the fact that I cannot just add them myself is ridiculous”.
How does a member find their own card?
They sign in to your site and, once, give the email address their membership is under and the membership number you gave them. From then on the card is bound to their account for good. If somebody changes their account, or a couple share a membership, you unlink them with one press and they claim it again.
Could somebody see another member’s card?
No. Who is asking is read on the server out of the token Wix itself signed, never from anything the page can say, and there is no address anywhere that lists anybody. A roster row is bound to exactly one account, and one that is already claimed is never quietly reassigned.
Does it email people before they renew?
No — it never sends anything to anybody. The notice is on the card a member opens, and the list of who is due is the first screen of your dashboard. Two apps next door charge $20.97 and $5.58 a month to send that email.
How is this different from your Pricing Tables & Comparison?
Pricing Tables is for somebody deciding whether to join: columns, features, a button. This is for somebody who already has — their own card, their own dates, their own tier. There are no price columns here, no feature grid and no buy button, on any plan.
What is the pass reference?
A short code on a member’s card that you can paste into your own dashboard to be told one thing: whether that membership is current, and what it is. It is a lookup key, not a credential — it opens no door and anybody the member shows it to can read it — and it changes when the membership does, so last year’s screenshot stops matching. The one app on this shelf that does this charges $8.38 a month and has no free plan.
Does it work on Wix Studio?
Yes. It is a custom element, so it runs on Wix Studio, the classic Wix Editor and Wix Harmony — the same app and the same settings panel.
What does it ask permission for?
One thing: which plan your site is on, so the paid features unlock. That is the whole install screen. It asks for no access to your contacts, your members, your media or your store, because it does not need any of them.
