The gap it closes
The app on this shelf is Wix Online Programs, 3.7★ over 1,054 reviews, and its loudest structural complaint is that every course you run appears on one page you cannot design. “I am so disappointed in the design and functionality — the course landing page is displaying an old logo and username that I can not change. The Landing Page isn’t design friendly at all” (25 votes). “Need Ability to customize Every Course’s page. Not just the global structure but the whole page of each course. This is a must, without this, there’s no way to present each of your course in a friendly manner to users” (10). “Wix only allows one auto-generated visitor page that changes based on the program selected … For someone running multiple programs, that’s incredibly limiting” (9, August 2025). “You cannot use your own landing page, there are no links you can use because it’s all dynamic” (7, July 2025).
Underneath that is what happens when the engine fails. “The app completely stopped working and became unusable. The ‘Start’ button failed entirely, blocking access to all courses. This issue appeared without warning”. “All of a Sudden Not Working — start button won’t work inside the program”. “Customers were automatically removed from the program despite having active subscriptions, which resulted in a huge influx of support emails from people who suddenly lost access to their course”. “Clients, convinced by the visually appealing designs … make a purchase. The payment goes through without a hitch. Yet, the moment they attempt to access what they’ve paid for, they’re met with insurmountable barriers” (6 votes). Every one of those is a checkout, a members area or a content gate — machinery this app does not have.
And the rest of that shelf is not an alternative. The other four apps in the Online Courses category have four reviews between them and every one is a selling engine: Sell Video Courses at $20.79 a month with no reviews at all, Sell Ebooks and Sell Audiobooks at $13.85. Searching the App Market for what a college would actually type returns nothing real — online courses, course catalog and programme return dozens of padded results and not one app that is a course catalogue; curriculum returns nothing whatsoever.
How it works
Three steps, then it runs itself.
- 01
Write the courses once, in your own words
A course has a title, a subject, a level, a format, a duration, a study-time line, a place, an awarding body, credits, a code and a price written the way you write it — “£450”, “From £99”, “Free”, “On request”. Nothing is a dropdown somebody else wrote, so it works for a term at a college, a weekend workshop and a three-hour certificate alike. There is no cap on how many you add, on any plan.
- 02
Type the syllabus, and let people read it
Add modules — weeks, units, days, chapters — and the lessons inside them, with a length beside each one if you want. That contents list is published on the free plan, so somebody can see what is actually in a course before they decide. The search box looks through every lesson title, so a visitor hunting for one topic finds the course whose week three covers it.
- 03
Drop it on your pages and point it wherever you sell
Drag the element onto any page, as many times as you like, and choose cards, rows, a table or a plain list. Pin one placement to a single subject, level or format, or set it to show one course in full. The Enrol button goes to a link, a page on your site, an email address, a telephone number — or nowhere at all. It runs in Wix Studio, the classic Wix Editor and Wix Harmony.
How it behaves
The decisions that matter.
-
No cap on courses, on any plan
Not twelve, not ten, not five. The free plan runs a whole prospectus. Most vendors in this corner of the App Market do not sell a feature at all — they sell the removal of their own name from your website, or a ceiling on the thing the app is. We do neither.
-
No watermark and no badge, on any plan, ever
Not on a card, not in the panel, not on a printed prospectus, not in the editor, not on a trial. Nothing on your site ever says who built the widget.
-
It never sells a course and never takes a payment
There is no checkout of ours, no cart, no coupon engine and no payment of any kind. The Enrol button hands the visitor to wherever you already sell — a pricing plan, an events page, a booking link, a form, an inbox or a telephone. The largest cluster of complaints next door is a checkout that fails after the money has been taken. Ours cannot, because it does not exist.
-
It never holds a student and never gates a lesson
No enrolments, no progress, no certificates, no member area, no login. A course row is an advertisement, not a course: it holds a description and a contents list, never the material. Ninety-five votes across three reviews next door are people whose paid videos could be downloaded and shared by anyone who had them. Material we never receive cannot leak from us.
-
It never creates a page on your site
A course opens in the browser’s own top layer over the page you designed, with its own link you can share. Nothing appears in your site structure, nothing appears in your menu, and deleting the element deletes the element. One of the newest reviews on the app this replaces is “Never Installed This and HARD to REMOVE IT … I cannot delete it from EDITOR”.
-
One request per placement, and then nothing
A placement asks your own site for its catalogue once. Searching, filtering, sorting and opening a course all happen in the visitor’s browser with nothing asked of anybody. Measured on a published page, on Wix Studio and on the classic Wix Editor: exactly one call.
-
Every arrangement and every design control is free
Cards, rows, a table or a plain list; one to four columns; picture shape, spacing, corner rounding, accent colour and text size; and a switch for every fact on a card. Every visitor-facing word is an editable field, and a second set of words can be attached to a second page, so an English page and a Welsh one can show the same courses.
-
Nothing is stored about a visitor
No cookie, no local storage, no identifier, no name, no email address. The only row a visitor’s action can ever write is one saying that a course’s Enrol button was pressed — and only when you switch counting on.
-
It is your site’s data, not ours
Every course is a row in a collection inside your own site, visible in your own Wix CMS, and CSV export is free on every plan. Whatever happens to us, your prospectus comes with you.
-
Nothing is fetched from anybody else
No fonts, no icon sheets, no trackers, no analytics. Every glyph is drawn in the page, the only pictures are your own, and a promotional video loads nothing at all until a visitor presses play.
Pricing
Free tier that actually works.
Billed per site through the Wix App Market, monthly or yearly (yearly saves 20%). Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. The free plan is deliberately functional and never expires, so the app can prove itself on a real site before you pay for it.

Installing & getting started
- Add Course & Programme Catalogue to your Wix site from the App Market and approve the permissions listed below.
- Open it from your site dashboard under Apps. It adds the Course catalogue element (editor widget, any page, any number of times) / Dashboard page.
- Follow the three steps above. The free tier covers as many courses as you like, on one catalogue, with the modules-and-lessons outline published, search across every lesson title, filters by subject, level and format, all four arrangements and every design control, pictures with a gallery, a promotional video that loads nothing until it is pressed, a price written in your own words, the Enrol button in five modes, share links, extra wording sets for a second language, CSV export — and no watermark or badge on any plan, ever, so you can prove it works before paying.

What is stored, and where
- Your courses — their titles, descriptions, modules and lessons, dates, tutors, prices, pictures and the words around them — are stored in collections inside your own site.
- No course material of any kind is ever received, stored or served: no videos, no documents, no quizzes, no certificates. A course row is an advertisement for a course, not the course.
- No student, enrolment, payment or progress record exists anywhere in the app. The Enrol button hands the visitor to an address you chose and the app’s involvement ends there.
- Pictures are never copied. They stay in your own Wix Media Manager and are served from there.
- Nothing about a visitor is stored. The only row a visitor can cause is one saying that a course’s Enrol button was pressed, written only when you have switched counting on, and holding no name, address or identifier of any kind.
- Nothing is written to a visitor’s browser: no cookie, no local storage.
- Uninstalling removes the app’s collections. Your pictures are not touched.

Questions people ask.
How many courses do I get for free?
All of them. There is no cap on courses on any plan, including the free one, and no cap on how many pages you put the element on. The paid plans add several separate catalogues, term dates, tutors, a spreadsheet import and a printable prospectus — never the count.
Does it sell courses or take payments?
No, and it never will. There is no checkout, no cart, no coupon engine and no payment anywhere in it. The Enrol button points at wherever you already sell — a Wix Pricing Plan, a Wix Events page, a booking link, a form, an email address or a telephone number. That is deliberate: the largest cluster of complaints on the app this one replaces is its own checkout failing after the money has been taken.
Can students log in and watch the lessons?
No. This is a catalogue, not a learning platform: it publishes what is in a course so somebody can decide, and then sends them to you. It holds no videos, no documents, no quizzes, no certificates and no student records. If you need content delivery, keep using whatever you already use — this sits in front of it.
Will it add a page to my site?
Never. A course opens in the browser’s own top layer over the page you designed, with its own shareable link. Nothing is added to your site structure or your menu, and the element is deleted like any other element.
Can I show different courses on different pages?
Yes. Each placement can be pinned to one subject, one level or one format, capped to the first few, given its own heading, its own arrangement and its own set of words — or set to show a single course in full, which is how you give one course its own page without the app ever creating a page.
Can I change the wording, or use another language?
Every visitor-facing word is an editable field — the Enrol button, the filter headings, “modules”, “lessons”, “Starts”, “Full”, the empty state, every error line. A catalogue can also carry extra sets of words, and each placement picks one, so an English page and a Welsh page can show the same courses in different languages.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The layout is read from the element’s own width rather than from a screen-width guess, so it works inside Wix’s 980-pixel phone viewport where an ordinary media query never fires. Measured on a published page at 390 pixels: one column, no horizontal scrolling anywhere, and the Enrol button on screen without scrolling the panel.
Does it work on Wix Studio?
Yes. It is a custom element, so it runs on Wix Studio, the classic Wix Editor and Wix Harmony — the same app, the same settings panel. It was placed and published on a real Wix Studio site and on a published classic Wix site before this listing was written.
