Wix Music sits at 3.4★ across 322 reviews, and one complaint dwarfs the rest: it is not available on Wix Studio. “How is this possible that this is not available for Wix Studio?????????” (28 votes), “When will This App be added onto Wix Studio” (18), “Not yet available for Wix Studio” (14), “PLEAAAASE MAKE THIS AVAILABLE IN WIX STUDIO, MY BUSINESS DEPENDS ON IT.” People say in them that they are leaving the platform over it.
Behind that sit the feature complaints: “it lacks many basic features such as search, filters by mood, tempo, tags… and shuffle mode” (19 votes), “NO VOLUME CONTROLS? Pick files straight out of your own media, several at a time, and the length comes with them — or paste an address to a file you already host. Nothing is uploaded to us.

Four arrangements: a player with the track list under it, an artwork grid, one compact line for a header or sidebar, or big artwork beside the queue. Columns, spacing, corners, artwork shape, text size and accent colour are all yours, and every visitor-facing word is a field you can rewrite.

Drag the element in as many times as you like — the whole library, one playlist, one tag, or a single track. It works the same way in Wix Studio, the classic editor and Wix Harmony.

Play counts are totals on your own site with no identifier attached. The one thing that can be written to a visitor’s browser — where they stopped listening — is off unless you switch it on, and then only when your site’s own cookie banner allows it.

Installing & getting started
- Add Audio Player & Playlists to your Wix site from the App Market and approve the permissions listed below.
- Open it from your site dashboard under Apps. It adds the Audio Player element (editor widget, any page, any number of times) / Dashboard page.
- Follow the three steps above. The free tier covers fifteen tracks, three playlists, all four arrangements and every design control, search, tag filters, shuffle, repeat, volume, speed, skip, artwork, lyrics, per-track copy links, downloads, play counts and CSV export, so you can prove it works before paying.

Permissions, and why each one

What is stored, and where
- Your players, playlists and tracks are stored in collections inside your own site.
- Play and download counts are two numbers on a row named by the track and the date. No visitor identifier is received, derived or written.
- Nothing is copied to any server of ours; the app runs on Wix’s infrastructure. Uninstalling removes the app’s collections.

Does it work on Wix Studio?
Yes. It is a custom element, so it runs on Wix Studio, the classic Wix Editor and Wix Harmony — the same app, the same settings panel. That is the whole reason it exists: the Editor-era music app does not.
Where does the audio live?
Wherever you already keep it. Pick files from your own media, or paste an address. The app stores an address and the words around it, so there are no audio hours and no bandwidth of ours to run out of.
Can it start playing on its own?
No, and no app can. Browsers refuse to start audio until a visitor has interacted with the page. There is a setting that asks, and it says plainly that it will usually be ignored — when it is refused the player simply waits for a press.
Can I sell my music through it?
No. This plays music; it never takes a payment. Every track can carry a “listen or buy” link out to wherever you already sell it — your own shop page, a store, a streaming service.
